Founded in 1999 with the hope of starting a new career, Kerlin Softworks offered
unique software for 3D artists...unique as in "super niche". Nothing was earth shattering and
it's not like any of it would win an award but the idea of doing something
other than SQL Server sounded like fun.
It churned on for two years and then it wasn't fun anymore.
The site wasn't updated for nearly a year after shipping Eleblend for Caligari's dePak.
Then I thought that it's idiotic to be bitter about it, shut down the site, and
hoard all of my software. I've since decided to release it, as is, for free. Get
back into the fun of writing software and realize that there's something to be
said in the delivery of a product and how many people use it, not how much money I make.
I "lose", you win. You get for free what was once sold. It's a little older, a
little dusty, and maybe a little useless. On the other hand, maybe it will make
the difference in your own projects.
